ROWBOATS

On Hoinville Lake you can venture out on row boats or kayaks, or if you’re interested in exploring further, we offer Namekagon River Canoe/Kayak Trips or River Tubing Trips. These give you the opportunity to leisurely float down river and be picked up and brought back to Heartwood Resort. These excursions are offered four times per day. For the river trips, we drop off at the Whispering Pines Landing and pickup at the Howell Canoe Landing. The Namekagon River is a 99.5-mile long river that is a northern tributary to the St. Croix River. It is protected under the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. Therefore, most of the river is undeveloped and home to abundant deer, muskrat, beaver, turtles and blue herons, eagles and ospreys.

From time to time, Heartwood Resort hosts events and gatherings that are open to the public!

We welcome everyone to participate and celebrate in our public events!

WHAT OUR VISITORS SAY

Absolutely beautiful property, with excellent staff! Our family has been to a Friday Night Fish Fry, Easter Buffet & Mother’s Day Buffet, and every single meal has been exceptionally great! I can not rave enough about the quality and taste of the meals they provide. The staff is wonderful!

We just got back and had an excellent stay. There are a lot of great activities and the place is very well maintained. Even though there was a wedding one night it never felt crowded. Social distancing was never a problem. I really wish they had the restaurant open For at least carry out. It’s 30 minutes to Spooner to eat. We will be back!

Stayed during the winter at the end of February, would love to see the area during fall or even spring. But with all the snow, access to this resort was done very well. The rooms were very clean. The lodges common areas were also very clean. The bar and restaurant had a good selection of food that was delicious. Mark was very helpful, and was willing to go out of his way to help and make sure my visit was great. Will definitely be a customer again.
